We also offer a number of options in our consultancy service, these range from a one off to address a particular problem to an annual contract where we offer further options.

Should your organisation have a particular requirement, perhaps you are behind with your COSHH or Risk Assessment programmes, we can assist by providing competent staff to address these problems. We can also train your staff to carry on the work we have started, again with the option of one of our consultants returning to ensure the work has been carried out correctly. This can offer great benefits as it puts your company in total control with John B McLaughlin Associates overseeing your progress and results.

Contract Consultancy

This can be the ideal solution should your organisation not having the manpower or expertise to carry out their legal duty from a Health and Safety point of view.
We can offer a Health and Safety Management system, that is specific to meet the needs of your organisations requirements. Again you have the option to service this system yourselves or to have us service it for you. This annual contract will include services and advice and can be tailor made to meet your Business requirements.

We also offer a Safety audit / review of your current sysytem. This consists of a one or two day visit, depending on the complexity of your operations, and would review your organisations Health, Safety and Welfare systems and carry out a physical inspection of your workplace. We would then produce a confidential report advising you of any shortcomings that are found, as well as highlighting area of good practice. The report would also recommend remedial action and a target date in whch the recommendations should be achieved. There would be no obligation to employ ourselves to carryout these recommendations and again where applicable we may be able to train your own personnel either to carry out the work or assist in the maintenance of the systems that we install.

An audit / review gives you the opportunity to have an outside agency assess the systems that you have in place and determine whether they are sufficient to meet the organisations legal obligations. As previously stated there is no obligation to use ourselves for any remedial work, however we do offer excellent value for money, training in particular if this can be carried out in-company. The big benefit of in-company training is that this can be much more personalised to your own work and any paperwork e.g. risk assessments, COSHH assessements or accident reporting forms can be introduced on the course and course delegates can have the benefit of completing them in a training situation.

Should you prefer to operate with your own personnel taking over we also offer National Vocational Qualifications in Health and Safety Practice at Levels 3, 4 & 5. These are offered by City & Guilds of London Institute and as we are an approved Centre we are able to guide candidates through the qualification.
